{18 - 24 August 2013 | week 34}

25 August 2013

It's week 34 and the summer holidays are coming to end !

What happened this week ?

This week was very much about fulfilling bucket lists and getting out and about.

I included some photos from our family meal as I didn't have time to add them last week. On Wednesday we went to the Parc des Oiseaux at Villars-les-Dombes. This is a favourite summer outing for us, to see the birds in their own natural environment, feeding them and watching the {Spectacle}. I took some great photos, including birds flying over our heads ! Zachary went fishing for the first time, he didn't catch anything but is keen to go again. Noah was promised a new bike if he learnt to ride using Zachary's old one, and he did really well. He is very different to the others, he is a {watcher} and when he is ready he will do it. Well he was ready this week and now we have to buy him a bike (stay tuned).

We went searching for a {geocache} on the Col du Colombier that we had tried to find in June but it was above the snow line. This time we were successful with Noah finding the treasure. We then explored around the chartreause d'Arvieres.

Techniques ~

onelittlebird released {trailblazer} which was perfect timing for our week of activities. I incorporated a few of the journal cards and papers into this week's spread.

I made a couple of filler cards using the Studio Calico Toolbox week 1 digital techniques.

Week 3 of Toolbox is all about {stitching} so I had some fun in the evenings relaxing and sewing.
